Red Faction Guerrilla for PC Windows, X360, PS3 Game
Red Faction Guerrilla for PC Game is an Open-world third-shooter video, designed by Volition and released by THQ. It was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in June 2009 and for Microsoft Windows in September 2009. The game is the third tranche in the Red Faction Guerrilla series. Several years after the release, Destructoid has listed the game as one of THQ’s ten best.
Red Faction Guerrilla Gameplay
The player takes the role of Alec Mason as he supports the Red Faction Guerrilla to overthrow the oppressive Earth Defense Force (EDF) on Mars. This is presented to the player from a 3rd person perspective. Developer Volition changed the camera perspective to help the player see and appreciate the environment while they are being destroyed.
Unlike the previous Red Faction Guerrilla using the Geomod engine, Guerrillados did not allow the terrain to be destroyed. However, the Geomod 2.0 engine of the game allows buildings, covers and other structures to be destroyed.
This allows for a certain degree of creativity in approaching a particular goal such as breaking or crashing through structures or leveling multi-storey buildings and large bridges or catwalks to thwart the enemy.
