Players are able to freely explore an open world, and have the Possibility to make individual BUD’s left and right hands, with a button for each hand. The player can reach a small distance and reach any part of the environment so they can push and climb objects.
During the game, the ship’s calculator from B.U.D with the title M.O.M. talks to the player and informs them about gameplay goals. This is a Best Game Game in The World.
The game allows players to grow “Star Shoots” from the Star Plant, which act as platforms for the player to cross. Star Shoots can only be grown for a limited time, and their path of growth can be directed by the player.
They can be used to carry the player to various floating islands that are found throughout the game world. Some islands, called “Energy Rocks”, can be linked to Star Shoots to grow the Star Plant on a set path. These Energy Rocks are further removed from the Star Plant when the game progresses.
